"ŽUMBERAK RACE"
WHERE AND WHEN?
Sošice, 4th September, 2010
"Žumberak race" is international semi-marathon that has been held in Sošice every September since 1996. It is organized by Athletics club Žumberak – the champion in male category in marathon and semi-marathon in 2006. It is on the top of Croatian road cup as well.
This hard mountain track through breath-taking Žumberak nature is among ten most prestigious in Croatia where points for Croatian road league are scored. The start of paved track 15.5 km long is in Radatovići and the finish is in Sošice.
This male and female competition is organized by age categories in which everyone can find its place. Children included! Races for boys and girls of different age groups are held on tracks from 200 to 1,000 meters.
